Environmental Impact Quotient

The Environmental Impact Quotient is a formula created to provide growers with data regarding the environmental and health impacts of their pesticide options so they can make better informed decisions regarding their pesticide selection.

The EIQ Field Use Calculator computes standardized, unitless relative safety ratings for pesticide applications based on the active ingredient, application rate, and area treated.

Standardized Ratings

Unitless relative safety ratings standardized to lbs/acre enable direct comparison between different pesticide applications.

Three Impact Components

Each calculation breaks down into farm worker, consumer, and ecological components for a complete environmental impact picture.

FAIR Data

Open, versioned, and citable. Our active ingredient database follows FAIR principles with persistent identifiers and standardized formats.
